O heil’ges Geist- und Wasserbad,
O holy font of spirit and water,
das Gottes Reich uns einverleibet

und uns ins Buch des Lebens schreibet!

O Flut, die alle Missetat
durch ihre Wunderkraft ertränket,
O flood which drowns all transgression
by its wondrous force
